About KDV Support

Hi, I'm Kate.

I like figuring things out. I like taking something that feels unnecessarily complicated and making it make sense. And I especially like being the person someone knows they can call when they hit the point of, “I have no idea what this thing wants from me.”

I’ve always been that person. Give me the weird email, the thing that stopped working, the system that makes absolutely no sense, or the instructions that somehow managed to make everything more confusing. I want to figure out what’s going on, what actually needs to happen, and what makes sense from there.

But the part I really like is what happens next. You get to stop dealing with it.

Maybe I fix it for you. Maybe I show you how to handle it. Maybe I look into it and tell you that what you have is perfectly fine and you don’t need to spend money replacing it. Whatever the answer is, I want you to understand your options and feel comfortable deciding what happens next.

I don’t care what you don’t know. You don’t need to use the right terminology or apologize because you think you “should” understand something. Tell me what it’s doing, show me the weird message, or explain it however you can. I can work with that.

That’s really what KDV Support grew out of. I like being the person people know they can call when they’re not sure what to do next, who to ask, or how to make something work the way they need it to.

For the Record

I’ve perfected my morning coffee routine over the years, right down to the espresso shot. At this point, I have it down to a science.

Hazel Lorraine is a 12-pound rescue who has become a pretty big part of our lives for someone who takes up approximately one square foot of space.

I genuinely enjoy figuring out why something isn't working. This apparently counts as a personality trait now.

I love traveling, but I also really love coming home.

I have very little patience for things that are more complicated than they need to be, whether that's technology, instructions, or a process involving seventeen unnecessary steps.

“Kate has a gift for explaining technology in a way that just clicks.”

She never once made me feel overwhelmed or “behind.” Instead, she patiently walked me through each step until I understood it. I leave every session feeling more confident, more capable, and empowered to tackle the next challenge on my own.
